Controversial businessman, Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala is expected to appear before the Johannesburg High Court for pre-trial hearing.
Matlala is facing multiple charges including attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Matlala was arrested in May 2024 after a failed assassination on his former girlfriend, tv actress and influencer Tebogo Thobejane.
Matlala made a brief appearance in the Alexandre Court on July 11, 2024, but the case was postponed to allow further investigation and the centralization of charges. Matlala, will appear alongside his wife, Tsakani Matlala, and co-accused Musa Kekana and Tiego Floyd Mabusela.
Matlala is currently being held at the eBongweni Supermax Correctional Centre in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal.
