The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape says it will take its provincial conference impasse to the party’s national leadership at Luthuli House.
The decision comes after the postponement of the provincial elective conference due to internal disputes and ongoing legal challenges. ANC Eastern Cape leadership said it intends to present all facts to the national leadership and seek a collective solution to resolve the matter.
“We are going to the national leadership. We have spoken with them, and they are also keen because they want us to find a collective solution on this matter,” said ANC Eastern Cape Chairperson Oscar Mabuyane.
Despite the ongoing issues, the provincial conference is expected to take place by the end of April.
