South Africa national football team coach Hugo Broos has announced a strong 38-man preliminary squad for two international friendlies against Panama national football team.
The matches, part of Bafana Bafana’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, will be played on 27 March in Durban and 31 March in Cape Town.
Experienced midfielder Themba Zwane has been included in the squad. Zwane missed the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after recovering late from a long-term injury and struggling with match fitness, but has recently returned to action for Mamelodi Sundowns.
Broos is expected to trim the squad ahead of the friendlies as he assesses player form and combinations for upcoming competitions.
