Modern Butchery honored as industry favourite at Best Business Cleaver Awards
Modern Butchery, located in Matatiele, Eastern Cape, has been awarded the Industry Favourite Award at the 20th Annual Best Business Cleaver Awards, celebrating its commitment to quality and exceptional customer service. The butchery, a staple in Matatiele for fifty years, received this esteemed recognition as one of the “Best of the Best” in the Eastern Cape and South Africa as a whole.
Jason Van Wyk, one of the butchery’s directors, expressed his gratitude for the award, emphasizing that the support of the Matatiele community has been instrumental in the butchery’s success. “It’s an incredible honor to receive this award, which reflects the dedication of our team and the loyalty of our customers,” Van Wyk shared.
The awards ceremony, held from October 23rd to 25th, 2024, honored the finest butchers in South Africa for excellence in customer service, product quality, and innovation. Sherry Sargent, Membership Liaison Executive, highlighted the event’s significance in marking two decades of showcasing exceptional talent in the meat industry.
