Motorists to pay R23 for a litre of petrol
Motorists might just find themselves parking in their personal cars in garages and use public transport in an attempt to save what is left in their already poverty-stricken pockets. This is after Energy department announced an increase in fuel as of today.
Both grades of petrol will increase by 37 cents per litre from Wednesday.
Diesel will decrease by 73.54 cents for (0.05% sulphur) and 47.54 cents for (0.005% sulphur) per litre.
The price of illuminating paraffin will decrease by 33 cents per litre at the wholesale level.
LP Gas will decrease by 444 cents per kilogram.
According to the mineral resources department, the adjustment is based on current local and international factors, including the rising cost of crude oil.
