The Bhisho high court on Monday found Nomqondiso Tembu, 50 years of age guilty of hiring a hit-man to kill her husband for his insurance payouts. It was revealed in court that Nomqondiso paid R120, 000 to Simphiwe Wili to kill Vusumzi Tembu on Valentine’s Day in 2017. Vusumzi’s lifeless body was found near the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdatsane.
It is alleged that Nomqondisi also encouraged Busiswa Nabi, a woman she had met in a taxi to do the same and use her hit-man after she had confided in her about her marital problems.
Judge found Nomnqondiso guilty of murder and two accounts of conspiracy to commit murder while Wili was found guilty of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and possession of an illegal firearm
The case was postponed to Wednesday for sentencing
