Police Officer fatally shot outside home in Eastern Cape

In a tragic incident in KwaBaca, an Eastern Cape Police Officer, Captain B Mvundlela, was fatally shot on Saturday evening. Captain Mvundlela, 58, attached to the Commercial Crime Unit, was attacked in front of his residence at approximately 9:00 PM.

Reports indicate that Captain Mvundlela sustained four gunshot wounds to his upper body, resulting in fatal injuries. Neighbors reported hearing gunfire originating from Captain Mvundlela’s property and discovered him lying outside. Upon their report, authorities arrived to find the gate and the driver’s seat door left ajar, indicating that the attack occurred as Captain Mvundlela was leaving his home.
