The incident occurred when a private scholar transport vehicle collided with a truck while ferrying pupils to schools.
The tragedy occurred around 07:00 on Fred Droste Road when a private scholar transport minibus carrying learners collided with a side-tipper truck while on the way to school.
Preliminary reports indicate the minibus attempted to overtake other vehicles and struck the oncoming truck, resulting in catastrophic loss of life.
