MEC KONTSIWE CONGRATULATES 2023 METRO FM AWARDS WINNERS
Eastern Cape Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture MEC, Nonceba Kontsiwe has described the winning of artists such as Betusile Mcinga, Deep London, Zuko SA, Coco SA and Dr. Nduduzo Makhathini in the 2023 Metro FM Awards as a proud moment for the province.
Mcinga won the Song of the Year award for Ngena Noah while Deep London won the Best Amapiano Song and Best Viral Challenge awards for Hamba Wena. Zuko SA took home the Bast Afrosoul Pop award for Andikalibali while Coco SA walked away with the New Artist award for his song titled I never thought. The internationally acclaimed Jazz artist, Nduduzo Makhathini who also lectured at the University of Fort Hare won the award for Best Jazz album for In The Spirits of Ntu. The award ceremony took place yesterday at Mbombela Stadium, in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. Kontsiwe said the province is proud of these artists,
