A Maluti man is today the 24th of March on 8th day in disappearance after allegations that he has raped his daughter. Police today the 24th of March confirmed that they are still looking for the suspect.
Although police confirmed that they are still looking for this suspect based on rape accusations they did not want to release the details about this case. The Informer spoke to the mother who said that her daughter was raped by her father. We cannot name the mother to protect the victim.
She said the incident happened at Maritseng Maluti where the father was staying with the daughter. She said it was on Sunday morning the 15th of March. “The father went to his daughter’s bed, she was still asleep. “He forcefully took her clothes off and forced herself inside her daughter.
He then slept next to her after finishing”, said the mother. The mother said, the daughter called her friend to report the matter and the friend advised to report the matter to the police. That resulted to case number 58/3/2026 to be registered at maluti police station. Provincial Police spokesperson, warrant Officer Majola Nkohli confirmed today that there are no new developments in the story. Police are still looking for the suspect.
How ever police are very concerned about the circulation of the picture of the suspect on social media. “We appeal to the public to refrain from circulating the image of the alleged suspect, as such actions could lead to secondary victimastion and cause further trauma to the survivor.
