A 36-year-old suspect is expected to appear before the Roodepoort Magistrate Court today, 30 January 2026 for allegation of fraud.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Singo, the suspect who is a former Financial assistant accountant at FAW Trucks allegedly transferred funds from the company’s bank account into her own personal bank account for personal gain. The incident took place during the period of October 2015 until January 2025. As a result of the fraudulent activities the company was prejudiced and suffered a total loss of more than R3 million.
A case docket was registered and handed over to the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team based in West Rand for further investigation. The suspect was arrested on Thursday, 29 January 2026 in Roodepoort.
