The final, held at Narendra Modi Stadium, saw India post a massive 255/5 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson starred with 89 off 46 balls, Abhishek Sharma scored 52 off 21, and Ishan Kishan added 54 off 25. Shivam Dube finished with a rapid 26 not out off 8 balls. India’s total set a new record for the highest score in a T20 World Cup final.
New Zealand struggled to chase, being bowled out for 159 in 19 overs. Tim Seifert top-scored with 52, but India’s bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah (4/15) and Axar Patel (3/27), dismantled the Kiwi lineup, producing the largest margin of victory in a T20 World Cup final.
