Man who dropped out of primary school also drops out of Initiation School, says “ Education has been designed to oppress us”
Welkom Today reports that a 28-year-old man from KwaMkhulu has shocked the community by dropping out of initiation school — just like he once did with primary school — claiming once again that “education is an oppressive system designed to enslave the African mind.” The man, who prefers to be called Revolutionary Simba, but is known on his ID as Bonginkosi Dlamini, made headlines after fleeing the initiation camp halfway through the traditional rite of passage.
Wearing only one sock and half a blanket, he was found outside a tuck shop asking for a cigarette and a free ride to his cousin’s place in Soweto. “I dropped out of Grade 4 because I saw through the lies,” said Revolutionary Simba while eating NikNaks. “Now they want to teach me how to be a man using sticks, rules, and sitting in the bushes with no Wi-Fi? I said, ‘Not today, Satan!
