Mogotsi to appear before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee

North West businessman Brown Mogotsi has confirmed that he will appear in person before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee probing allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption within the criminal justice system.

Mogotsi has already testified before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, which is investigating similar allegations.

He has reportedly been linked to allegations that he acted as a go-between for former Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and alleged “big five” cartel member Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.

During his appearance before the Madlanga Commission last year, Mogotsi made explosive claims, including allegations that KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini were recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the United States’ foreign intelligence service.

Those claims sparked widespread controversy at the time and were met with strong denials.

Mogotsi’s upcoming appearance before Parliament is expected to draw significant public and political interest as lawmakers seek clarity on the allegations and his role in the matter.
