The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC) leadership in the region extends its congratulations to the newly elected Executive Mayor of the Alfred Nzo District Municipality and wishes the Mayor every success in leading the District.
NAFCOC has a long-standing mandate to advocate for good governance, inclusive economic participation, and sustainable local economic development. The organisation works closely with all spheres of government, particularly at municipal level, where service delivery directly impacts communities and businesses.
In a statement Regional Chairperson of NAFCOC Odwa Voyi said, the election of the Executive Mayor comes at a critical moment for the Alfred Nzo District, which requires ethical, decisive, and people-centred leadership to restore public confidence in local institutions and to accelerate service delivery.
He said, NAFCOC calls on the new administration to prioritise key development and governance pillars, including improved basic service delivery with a strong focus on water, sanitation, electricity, and other essential services. Accelerated infrastructure development, particularly the construction and upgrading of roads, bridges, and enabling infrastructure, is vital to unlocking economic growth across the District. Equally important is the strengthening of human capital and institutional capacity through enhanced skills development, effective performance monitoring, accountability, and efficient management systems.
