Bujy released on bail, audio clip of the incident released
Radio personality Bujy Bikwa has been granted a bail of R2000 by the Midrand Magistrate Court on Thursday after spending six days in custody. Buyj made headlines after he allegedly threw a bottle of alcohol at the media personality Boity Thulo at the Courtyard Hotel opposite the Mall of Africa in Midrand.
Boity sustained several in her face. This was revealed by the court during Bujy’s bail application.
Today Boity shared how sad she is to be the victim of vicious physical assault. She posted a statement confirming the allegations and asked for space to deal with the issue, to heal physically and emotionally. In her statement, she also confirmed about a case which she opened for the culprit and made it clear that she has faith in criminal justice and she strongly stands against gender-based violence GBV.
According to the defence, Bujy presented himself to the police voluntarily. The case has since been adjourned to November 19 for further investigation.
