Deputy Sports Minister visits family of EC netball bus horror crash victim
Deputy Minister of Sports Recreation Arts and Culture, Hon. Nocawe Mafu, MEC Fezeka Nkomonye, the Executive Mayor of Alfred Nzo District Municipality, Cllr Vukile Mhlelembana and Winnie Madikizela Mandela Mayor, Cllr Daniswa Mafumbatha visited the family of the late Thabisile Maxikixa who was one of the people who lost their lives in the horrific bus crash on their way to the Spar Women’s Netball Championships in Cape Town on Sunday.
Three players and an official were killed in the early hours of Sunday morning when the bus in which two teams were travelling was involved in a head-on collision with another bus on the R61 near Aberdeen, in the Eastern Cape,
Deputy Minister has committed that government would help the families of the victims with funeral arrangements and with psychosocial support.
