Dr Nandipha Magudumane’s case moved to 16 May

Dr Nandipha Magudumane and her five co-accused’s bail application has been postponed to the 16th of May.
This is after her legal representative Advocate Frans Dlamini said there is crucial evidence that needs to be looked at. The famous social mediia Dr doctor is facing a string of charges, including abetting a convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester at the Mangaung Maximum Correctional Facility.

Meanwhile, acting Chief Magistrate Lindiwe Mbassa clarified that while the media would be able to broadcast the bail proceedings, they would not be allowed to identify any witness called to lead evidence in respect of the bail application.
“I am sure you have read the notice issued out by the magistrates this morning, which spells out that members of the media cannot identify witnesses once they have taken the stand,” the official said.
“However, you are allowed to do a live recording of the accused during the bail application. So, as soon as witnesses take the stand, you will be required to switch off your live feed.”
