Eastern Cape television star’s car wheels stripped off
YoTV presenter and businesswoman, born and bred in eNgqeleni, Eastern Cape, Noncedo Mfundisi experienced first-hand the inefficiency of the police in responding to a crime scene. The television star called the police to her home after she found wheels from her bakkie stripped off.
According to Mfundisi, she first informed the chief of the local area about the incident and proceeded to the eNgqeleni police station to open a case. ” The chief showed no interest in taking action, meanwhile, the police hours to attend my case…
“I reported the matter on Tuesday in the morning and the police came just after four o’çlock in the afternoon. Even when they finally came, still, there was no finger specialist. When I asked, they promised me that he is on his way. The specialist only called me after two days to inform me that he had an emergency and that he will not be able to attend to the case…
“So, on Monday I decided to leave the Eastern Cape for Johannesburg due to work. Even now I didn’t get any update from the police about the case and the fingerprints have never been taken,” said Mfundisi.
The TV star stressed out that she wants the perpetrators of this crime to be arrested with immediate effect.
The police confirmed that case number 190/9/2021 was registered at Ngqeleni police station despite the absence of a fingerprints specialist.
No arrests have been made, police are investigating the matter.
