EFF demands Motshekga to close schools amid third wave

Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema demands Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga to close schools amid the third wave of Covid-19.

“Schools must close, and they must close with immediate effect because our children are going to die. We give the minister seven days to close schools, failure to do so, we’ll have to close schools ourselves as the EFF.”

This is after, his children were turned back because their classmates tested positive of the deadly virus.

Malema was speaking at the party’s offices on Thursday, where he also questioned Motshekga’s silence amid the continued spread of Covid in schools.

There are reports that Motshekga is suffering from cancer and as a result, she has been absent from important events.
