Matatiele Local Municipality appoints Luncedo Walaza as Head of Communications
The Matatiele Local Municipality has appointed Luncedo Walaza as Head of Communications. Walaza who hails from Mkhemane in ward 22 will take the reins from Olwethu Ngwanya as Head of Communications and the Municipal Spokesperson, with effect from 01 November 2021. Walaza has been in the Local Government Communications Systems for ten years, where he worked as the Senior Officer: Marketing, Events and Protocol. According to the statement released by the municipality, Walaza’s experience in Government Communication won the municipality recognition in being the best Municipality in implementing Local Government Communication Systems for
three consecutive years.
Prior to joining the Municipality in February 2012 he was working for Coega Development
Corporation. He holds a Degree in Applied Communication Management from the University of Fort Hare.
