Police find remains of Limpopo prophet in crocodile infested river
The South African Police Service (SAPS) search teams have found the remains of a 48-year-old prophet surrounded by crocodiles in the Lepelle River (Oliphant) in Apel in Limpopo on Tuesday.
Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Major-General, Jan Scheepers said the prophet allegedly died after falling into crocodile-infested waters during a prayer session with two other prophets in Limpopo on Sunday
Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Major-General, Jan Scheepers, said people should consider their safety when engaging in such activities.
“Communities should exercise great caution during rainy seasons and be mindful not to put their lives at risk by entering rivers, dams or streams without first considering possible dangers posed by wild animals,” adds Limpopo police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba.
