Police investigating murder case of four people in one village
A task team has been assigned to investigate four murder cases in Mthatha. This is after Police on Saturday evening were called in to a gruesome scene at Kaplani Village where they found a burnt-out bakkie with two charred bodies inside a vehicle registered to the Department of Correctional Services.
According to Spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, the victims were burnt beyond recognition and their identities will only be confirmed on completion of the forensic investigation.
In another incident, in the same village, two male bodies were found floating in a dam.
Warrant Officer Nkohli said the deceased sustained multiple injuries. The victims were identified as 27-year-old Lunga Feya and 34-year-old Luthando Thingithini.
