Police open inquest after two killed, eight injured in car accident
Eastern Cape Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide. This is after two people were killed and eight others sustained injuries following a collision on the Mdantsane Access Road in East Lond
Transport spokesperson, Unathi Binqose said on Sunday, a Toyota Avanza with nine occupants traveling from Mdantsane to East London collided with another Avanza with one male occupants, two male passengers died at the scene.
Those that sustained injuries were rushed to the Cecilia Makhiwane and Frere Hospitals for medical care.
It is alleged that that reckless and negligent driving was the main contributing factor for the cause of the accident.
