Queen Mantfombi’s memorial service underway

The Queen's death is pinned on poison

Queen Mantombi Dlamini Zulu’s memorial service is expected to take place at Khangelamankengane Royal Palace in Nongoma on Friday. The Queen was interred in a private ceremony on Thursday. The Queen was honoured by a special official funeral category two following a request by the KwaZulu-Natal provincial government.

The Queen passed away at a Johannesburg hospital last week, barely a month after she was appointed to be the interim leader following the passing of her husband, King Goodwill Zwelithini.

The cause of the Queen’s post-mortem will be relieved next week; this follows speculations that she was poisoned.

Meanwhile, the King’s firs wife, Sibongile Dlamini is running to courts to challenge the authenticity of the late King Zwelithini’s will and demands 50% of the estate, stating that she and the late king jointly controlled the estate which is almost three million hectares of land under the Ingonyama Trust Fund
