SAPS members in the Alfred Nzo Region receive their jabs
South African Police Service in the Alfred Nzo region on Monday, launched the vaccination roll-out campaign at the Harry Gwala Park, Matatiele. Scorns of police officers flooded to the area to get their jabs for the first time. Brigadier Naidoo said he was impressed with the police officers who visited the site for their jabs” I am impressed with the outcome and the number of SAPS here; I encourage all the members of the saps to take the vaccine as it is our only protection against the virus.”
Although it is no clear how many police officers are targeted to be vaccinated in the province, Acting Police Commissioner in the Eastern Cape, Liziwe Ntshinga said currently there are more than 5000 police officers vaccinated; however a day, the office plans to vaccinate about 500 police officers. Waiting for the advised 15 minutes after taking the jab, Constable Lucobo from Mount Fletcher said” Initially, I was scared I have got my jab and I am fine.”…
On Monday, the health department reported that there are over 9000 positive cases reported.
