Tributes pour in for late AmaZulu striker

Tributes and messages of condolences are still pouring in following the tragic passing of AmaZulu FC striker Bongi Ntuli.
The Durban-based football club announced Ntuli’s passing on Sunday, 5 November, in a statement.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you of the untimely passing of our beloved centre-forward and loyal servant, Bonginkosi Ntuli,.
“Ntuli was (very recently) diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, which metastasized and ultimately led to his death at the Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital, in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.
“May his beautiful soul rest in eternal peace. The club requests privacy and patience be granted his family and friends at this difficult time,” read the statement
The club will make further announcements in due course.
AmaZulu spokesperson Philani Ndlela explains.
“This is a sad moment and a sad time for the Ntuli family the Zungu family and the entire AmaZulu family and the football fraternity will also join us in mourning following the sad and untimely death of our strike. We urge that the family is given privacy. Details about his funeral will be shared at the right time.”
Ntuli married AmaZulu Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sinenjabulo Zungu, in September this year.
