Soweto – Orlando Pirates secured an emphatic win over TS Galaxy in a dramatic, action-packed clash at Orlando Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The match got off to a fiery start when TS Galaxy were reduced to 10 men as L. Motaung received a red card in the 4th minute, putting his side under early pressure.
R. Ratomo starred for the Buccaneers with a hat-trick, finding the net in the 6th, 53rd and 69th minutes. K. Sebelebele added another goal in the 64th minute to seal a dominant attacking display.
TS Galaxy responded through T. Moremi in the 41st minute, while an own goal by M. Mbunjana in the 44th minute added to the entertaining scoreline.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Galaxy showed moments of resilience, but Pirates’ clinical finishing proved decisive.
The victory sees Orlando Pirates move to the top of the league standings, strengthening their title ambitions, while TS Galaxy will look to bounce back after a tough outing.
