Orlando Pirates stadium has officially been renamed to the Orlando Amstel Arena, marking a commercial milestone.
The announcement was made during the unveiling ceremony at the stadium on Tuesday
Andrea Quaye, Marketing Director at Heineken Beverages said the renaming marks a significant milestone in the long-term partnership between Amstel and Orlando Pirates, built on shared values of quality, respect, and unity.
“At Amstel, we believe the strongest bonds are built over time, through shared moments and real connection. Orlando Pirates and this stadium represent that idea in a very real way. The Orlando Amstel Arena is not about replacing history but investing in the golden bonds that continue to grow here.”
The agreement is set to run for a period of five years
The official unveiling of the new signage is expected to take place during the Buccaneers’ next home fixture when Pirates welcome Magesi FC on 31 January
A special tribute to Dr. Khoza’s contributions to the game will be integrated into the match-day experience.
