Partial pension fund withdrawals will be accessible in 2022
Treasury says the Government Employee Fund will not be accessible this year. Employees who had hoped to withdraw some of the money while working, will not be able to do so until 2022.
The office says the legislative process and amendments must be followed and before this can be implemented.
The horrific news is that government employees are excluded from withdrawing their money before retirement.
Former Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, last month said there was a move to expedite the matter of partial early withdrawals.
