Police Launch Manhunt After Elderly Woman Found Murdered in eMaxesibeni
Police in the Eastern Cape have launched a manhunt following the brutal murder of a 69-year-old woman whose body was discovered with multiple stab wounds at her home in Maliwa Location, Manzana Administrative Area (eMaxesibeni).
The discovery was made early on Saturday morning, 24 May 2025. At approximately 07:00, police were called to the scene where the woman’s lifeless body was found in her bedroom. She had sustained several stab wounds to her upper body.
Authorities believe the victim was alone at the time of the incident, and the motive for the attack remains unclear.
Police are appealing to members of the public for any information that could assist in the investigation.
