EFF rejects South African Reserve Bank findings on Phala- phala farm saga
The Economic Freedom Fighters has rejected the South African Reserve Bank findings on the Phala Phala report clearing President Cyril Ramaphosa of any wrongdoing in the saga. The party has called it an abuse of the SARB to exonerate the president.
The reserve bank on Monday announced that there was no legal obligation for Ramaphosa to declare foreign currency under the exchange control regulations.
This relates to the 2020 theft of undeclared foreign currency at his Phala Phala farm in Limpopo.
Meanwhile, the African National Congress (ANC) has welcomed findings by the South African Reserve Bank (Sarb) following investigations into President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm money scandal.
