The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has reportedly issued a final notice to media personality Bonang Matheba over unpaid taxes.
The report that Matheba owed millions surfaced just hours before she unveiled The House of BNG Mimosa, a ready-to-drink, 4.5% ABV citrus-flavoured sparkling cocktail in a 250ml can. The launch took place at the Retreat at The #HouseOfBNG vineyards and included a lavish celebration with friends, fans, and industry guests.
SARS has cautioned that Matheba must settle her outstanding tax obligations to avoid further legal action. While the exact amounts and compliance deadline remain undisclosed, the revenue service stresses that all taxpayers are required to meet their obligations, with penalties and enforcement measures possible for non-compliance.
