Sekhukhune United and TS Galaxy are targeting Nedbank Cup glory but remain wary of possible upsets from lower-ranked teams in the quarter-finals.
Sekhukhune will face NFD side Milford at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday at 6pm, with Babina Noko widely expected to progress. Under coach Eric Tinkler, the club is also pushing to finish third in the Betway Premiership, which would secure CAF Confederation Cup football.
Tinkler stressed that both the league and cup remain priorities for the club.
“Both are important. We want to finish third in the league, not only to qualify for CAF competitions but also because it shows the club is improving every year,” he said.
Despite their strong position, Tinkler insists his side will not underestimate any opponent as the competition heats up.
