The accident, which occurred at around 03:00, involved a bus and two trucks travelling southbound. According to preliminary reports, the truck driver made an illegal U-turn, leading to a collision that left 25 passengers injured.
Duma said all injured passengers, who are South Africans, are receiving medical treatment at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital, while 29 others escaped unharmed. A total of 53 passengers were travelling on the bus.
