Twin sister’s throat cut open by ex-boyfriend

The man responsible for the murder of a pre-primary Model C private School teacher in Mthatha, Eastern Cape has been detained by the police. The lifeless body of Gcotyiswa Mbhobo was found lying in a pool of blood, with her throat cut open and multiple stab wounds on Saturday.
According to reports, Mbhobho was involved in a toxic relationship with the accused, who has since admitted to committing arson before finally taking her life.
Mbhobho’s twin sister, Nomgcobo Mbobho said the sight of her twin’s lifeless body in a pool of blood still haunts her and has built hatred towards men
“It’s when I realized that some men are merciless monsters who do not deserve women and need to be taken away from society.
Nomgcobo said the man who is behind the bars now confirmed that even in the first incident of fire he was responsible for the strange fire using witchcraft. “To confirm his utterances we found the microwave of my twin sister sold to his friends. A few days after the incident of fire, he came to us screaming that the fire was burning him and he confessed that he was the one who caused the fire and there is no woman who can just dump him like that. We were still astonished by that, unaware that there was still a big one which was coming”, said the twin in tears.
There was nothing wrong with my sister terminating the relationship with the accused because it was an abusive union but I never thought that this man would take her life in a brutal manner like this. I have no twin now because of the cruel man who killed my sister for nothing. Please fight even if you are underground. When I am looking at your kids I think of the way you loved them but now you are no longer on this earth,” said teary Nomgcobo.
Gcotyiswa was a single parent of three children who worked as a teacher under a pre-primary playground at Model Private School in Mthatha. Gcobisa is expected to be laid to rest on 27 November 2021 at her home locality of Ngcihana block 2 in Elliotdale.
