The Eastern Cape Department of Education MEC Fundile Gade has sent his heartfelt condolences to the families of two Majali Technical School pupils, who were shot outside their residence in Lusikisiki.
The two male students were allegedly shot outside their place of residence after visiting their schoolmates from the local area.
Police were called to the scene and both learners were declared dead on the scene. Both deceased were males aged 22 and 20 years old.
The incident took place on Friday. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
The Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Nuku has been dispatched to visit the families accompanied by the district contingent to pay respect to the families of the deceased.
