Two men have died following a shootout involving law enforcement officers at a petrol station on Spine Road in Westville on Thursday morning.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, emergency teams responded to the scene shortly after 06:30 following reports of a shooting incident.
Jamieson said paramedics were directed to a vehicle that was allegedly being pursued by law enforcement when a shootout occurred.
“On assessment, paramedics found one male inside the vehicle who had sustained multiple fatal gunshot wounds. He was declared dead on the scene,” Jamieson said.
