Authorities in the United States have arrested a 35-year-old woman after she allegedly fired multiple shots at the Beverly Hills home of pop star Rihanna.
The suspect, identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, allegedly opened fire on Sunday afternoon shortly after 1:15 pm using an AR-15-style rifle, according to law enforcement sources.
Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was reportedly at home at the time of the incident. It is not clear whether her partner A$AP Rocky and their children were present.
Police said Ortiz fled the scene in a white Tesla but was tracked by helicopter and arrested about 30 minutes later in a parking lot in Sherman Oaks.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department reportedly recovered an assault rifle and several shell casings from the vehicle. Bullet holes were also found in the gate of Rihanna’s property and in a recreational vehicle parked in the driveway.
Authorities have charged Ortiz with attempted murder, and her bail has been set at more than $10 million. Investigators have not yet confirmed a motive for the shooting.
