Nine members of the Zamuxolo Community Police Forum (CPF) were honoured during an awards ceremony held at the Zamuxolo SAPS premises in Phirintsu, Tlokoeng, in recognition of their bravery and commitment to fighting crime in the community.
The event was organised by Zamuxolo SAPS station commander Captain Sindiswa Vundisa, who praised the CPF members for their dedication to assisting police in Ward 14.
“They sacrifice their time to assist us, and they do this voluntarily,” she said. “This ceremony is our way of saying thank you to them.”
CPF member Lungiswa Nkaleseng, one of the recipients, said the medal she received motivated her to continue working towards making the community safer.
“I’m the only woman here, but it doesn’t feel like it – we are united in helping the police and making a better and safer haven for our children and community,” she said.
