Zuma to be imprisoned at Westville, Durban

With just only 48 hours left for the former President, Jacob Zuma to hand himself to the police station, reports are growing that Zuma’s legal team will seek to stay his arrest in the Pietermaritzburg High Court.

It is reported that acting Chief Justice, Sisi Khampepe has signed a warrant of committal for Zuma. According to the letter, Zuma will be remanded to the Westville correctional centre in KwaZulu-Natal.

Zuma was on Tuesday sentenced by the Constitutional Court to a minimum of 15 months in prison for contempt of court, this is after he walked out of the state capture commission inquiry without the consent of Deputy Chief Justice Ray Zondo, who chairs the commission.
