A Matatiele paramedic has been shot and killed in a brutal attack outside his home in Harry Gwala Park on Monday evening.
The victim has been identified as Bhekisisa Munyu Skhosana 49 from Mvenyane location, who had served as a paramedic in the Alfred Nzo District for over 20 years.
According to his relative, Mncedisi Munyu Skhosana, Bhekisisa was ambushed by two unknown gunmen shortly after arriving home from work. His wife had opened the gate for him and returned inside when the attack occurred.

Police recovered about 10 spent cartridges at the scene, while family members counted at least 12 gunshot wounds on his body.
Mncedisi described the late Bhekisisa as “a man of peace who loved truth,” adding that the family is devastated.
“We are not aware of any enemies he had. His death has left us shattered,” he said.
Bhekisisa is survived by his wife and five children.
